God's Sovereignty

"Whatever the LORD pleases He does, In heaven and in earth, In the seas and in all deep places. He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain; He brings the wind out of His treasuries." Psalm 135:6-7

I love this verse and the verse in Psalms 62 that says "My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken."

Good verse Amelia especially since it's totally stormy outside right now. :-)

What an amazing display of God's handiwork. As effortless as that is for God to do, it baffles our finite minds how an infinite God upholds all things by the Word of His power. God is truly Sovereign. Some people do not want to believe in a God that is in control of tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, and tsunamis, but that is irrelevant, what saith the Scripture?

"What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?" (Mt. 8.27)
